I hate bugs!

June 7th 1902 Egypt
Turns out the guy who hired me, some German professor from the Humboldt University, Doctor Klaus something or other, wanted a bodyguard while he was in Egypt.
Couldn't really complain at the time. Good money.
After making a camp near the Valley of the Kings, I went out and set my own little camp. I just prefer being away from the main camp. Gives me a better chance to run if they get attacked. After making my dinner, I noticed something glinting out of the sand.
Something golden.
Turned out it was a ruddy big chunk of gold.
But no sooner had I got the sand off of it, this huge ruddy big beetle bursts out the sand and attacks me!
And this wasn't some tiny, wee bettle you see in the encylopedia Brittanica. Oh no. This thing was the size of Shetland Pony!! Took all six shots from my Webly to put it down.
And then, after the whole camp came running over after hearing the gunshots, it turns out it was made from stone!
I tell you, I am leaving this country the first chance I get....

So, after buying my mother's day present for my mum, I. decided to do something I haven't done in a long time: buy a Lego set.
Now, honestly, when these first came out, I was skeptical about the whole 'Pharaoh's Quest' theme. I didn't really think it would be all that good.
Boy was I wrong!
Lego have really advanced in terms of detail and stuff for their themes (although some are just a bit weird.)
